Age - Not An Excuse!

The body changes as we age and it seems that fat is stored more easily than when we were younger. Unless you train and eat properly, your metabolism slows and the digestive system doesn’t work as well as it once did. Hormonal changes can also affect the shape that you are in,  but there is one thing that always remains the same - If you eat too much food and don’t so any training, you will gain weight. Many people use their age as an excuse for being over weight but this is not acceptable. There are many elderly people there are who are still slim, fit and healthy. Age is not an excuse.

Don’t Lie To Your Diary

Are you currently keeping a food diary? They can be a very useful tool, especially in the beginning of your fat loss education. However, as Mike Roussell author of Your Naked Nutrition Guide, discusses in a recent post, it is very important to be truthful with yourself. If you lie to your diary, you are harming your chances of reaching your fat loss goals.

Nutrition Tips From John Berardi

Tip #4
Revving Up Metabolism
by Dr. John Berardi
I recommend more calories than most do. That’s because there’s no such thing as a stagnant metabolic set-point. Instead, metabolism chases intake. So, if you want a bigger metabolism, you need a bigger food intake. And if you’re worried about fat gain with this approach, just use outcome-based decision making and adjust energy (calorie) intake every two weeks based on your results. Not much ‘damage’ can take place in only two weeks. So if you end up boosting your metabolism, you’ll be thanking me eternally. And if it turns out you’re consuming too much, you can just adjust down.
