Fat Loss – The Basics
Generally people put on fat because they take in (eat) more calories than they expend (use). Although there are a variety of ways to loose bodyfat, effective programs should focus both on what you are eating and what you are doing.
Having a good eating pattern and loosing bodyfat is NOT about starving yourself. It is surprising how much difference just cleaning up your diet will make, it may be all you need. By cleaning up your diet, I mean cutting down on the high sugar, high fat, low fibre foods that make up too large a percentage of most peoples dietary patterns.
From an exercise perspective, loosing bodyfat is not about doing hours of tedious work on exercise equipment. Regular weight training and short interval training sessions will not only burn calories, they will allow you to increase muscle mas which will not only make you look and feel better, it will help you to burn off even more calories.
