Age – Not An Excuse!

The body changes as we age and it seems that fat is stored more easily than when we were younger. Unless you train and eat properly, your metabolism slows and the digestive system doesn’t work as well as it once did. Hormonal changes can also affect the shape that you are in, but there is one thing that always remains the same – If you eat too much food and don’t so any training, you will gain weight. Many people use their age as an excuse for being over weight but this is not acceptable. There are many elderly people there are who are still slim, fit and healthy. Age is not an excuse.

Resistance Training and Fat Loss

How much of a priority do you make your resistance training? If it is not an integral part of your training for fat loss, you are putting a limit on your results. Weight training helps maintain lean body mass while you are loosing fat, helps up-shift your metabolism and helps you burn fat for up to 48 hours after the session has finished. Given these benefits, how could you not do a couple of hard weight training session each week.

This Year’s Goals Revisited

If you set goals at the beginning of the year, it is now a good time to revisit your short to medium term goals. If you like many people use 12 weeks as a basic time frame, you are now almost 3/4 the way through your initial period. So are you close to reaching your goals? Have you changed your eating and exercise patterns? Are you well on your way to loosing the bodyfat your wanted? If not, have you implemented some strategies to help you get where you want The ball is definitely in your court.
